Matt Spencer
Matt Spencer recently contacted me and asked if he could illustrate my twitter bio and this is the result! I really am a massive teapot! In fact I may go make a brew now! To see others pop over to his web site by clicking his name :)
Matts description of his latest project:
'Have you ever noticed that lots of illustrators are declaring their love for caffeine and cute animals in their Twitter bio's? Is this just an innocent coincidence?, or are these illustrators part of a secret tea worshipping cult? In this project I attempt to uncover the mystery by drawing tea, kittens and some of the random things these illustrators claim to love...'

NOMA; Time and Place in Nordic Cuisine, Rene Redzepi.
Comissioned by Phaidon to create map illustrations and hand drawn type for forth coming book of award winning restaurant NOMA.

Andrew Lyons
This is the wonderful work of Andrew Lyons. This piece is what he says is based on 'twitter envy', where people tweeting from high profile events can cause jealousy amongst their twitter followers.
I was also very surprised to find that he also studied at the same University as myself! Here is a bit about Andrew that I pinched from his gorgeous web site:

Stephen Cheetham
Sorry for the lack of posts this weekend! The hard drive on my Mac decided to die on saturday so I spent much of the weekend in Apple waiting for it to be fixed! I've only just started putting all the software back on it. What a job that is!
Anyway, enough about me! This is the work of Stephen Cheetham an illustrator and designer from London. Above is his vinyl based kids wall chart which I thought was really sweet. I wonder where I would be on this? If you want one you can get one from Places and Spaces in Clapham.

Bomboland
'Bomboland is a studio. It's in Lucca and you can only get here on foot. We do the things you see written in the menu above, and we do them for the clients you see written in the list below. We try to do them well because we hate things done badly. We try to keep on doing them well because the recession can't be an excuse for everyting. We try to be punctual because why should we make people wait? We try not to take ourselves too seriously because, ultimately, we make a living by drawing pictures.'
'At Bomboland, you'll find Maurizio at the drawing table, Elisa at the cutting table, and Missy every place, including forbidden ones, like the couch.
Maurizio has been looking for the prefect chair for years, and it is sure to take the credit for the masterpiece he will soon make. Elisa keeps on failing to understand the connection between the chair and the masterpiece, but is sure he will make it soon.
Missy keeps on sitting on the couch with impunity.'

Nick Deakin
Wonderfully simple work by Nick Deakin.
A selection of the prints for The Becton Centre for Children and Young People, a part of Sheffield Children's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
A project lead by The Children's Hospital Charity, contemporary Sheffield artists including Lord Bunn, Pete McKee and TADO were commisioned to produce work for the new site.
'The Arts for Health programme aims to improve the environment and amenities of the hospital and the Trust’s other sites for patients, their families and visitors. It also enables our young patients to get involved in activities whilst in hospital, which help pass time and alleviate some of the anxieties, as well as adding a lot of fun along the way.'
