So... Who watched the Olympic Opening Ceremony last night? I had no intention of watching it all but for some reason I did and now I'm falling asleep. I have to admit though, it was one of the strangest things I have ever seen and was not at all what I was expecting. It was a great idea to show Britain through the years but I spent a large amount of time staring at the T.V wondering what the hell was going on! I honestly think the people at home watching it on their telly's had the best view. Don't get me wrong, I'd have loved to have been there for the atmosphere but I don't think that you would have been able to see as much or quite grasped what was going on so well.
I think the highlight for me was definitely the appearance from Mr Bean! It was unexpected and really quite funny! However, I do think it went on past the Queens bed time... Why do I say this? Because she looked bored. I don't know if you noticed this but when team GB came out and the camera panned to her she was just sat there picking at her nails.
It was quite an impressive set up they had going on and I can see where that massive budget went but I can't honestly say it was the greatest show on earth... It was a damn good show but it wasn't the greatest. I know people will argue with me here because my social network feeds were full of people loving it. But I guess it just depends what you're into and your attention span at that time of night! I was pretty shattered. Maybe if I watch it again I might appreciate it just that little bit more :)
