So... Remember I told you last week that I had had a super exciting email? Well now I can tell you what it was! I was one of the lucky 10 who were chosen to have a piece of their work on display in John Lewis on Oxford Street, London.
I actually couldn't believe my luck. When I read that email my mouth hit the floor as this kind of thing doesn't happen to me! I mean John Lewis... JOHN LEWIS!! I got incredibly excited and then had a little panic about getting it together in time and then got to work on getting my work printed and framed.
I felt like I was at uni again trying to hit a deadline as I was soooo stressed. I bought my frame and then printed my work. But found when I took the frame out of the packaging the mount had been ripped before it was put in the frame and there was no way I could get back to Cardiff to take it back to the shop so I had to run around town the day before I was due to go to London to find a replacement! However, all the art shops were closed so I had to buy another frame and cut the mount down to fit the frame I originally had! If that wasn't stressful enough I realised that I had made a grammatical mistake on my print just 45 minutes before the printer closed! So it was a panic fix job and back to the prints as fast as my car could legally carry me! Eventually it all went to plan!
The top picture is me proudly about to hand in all my hard work. Obviously I had to hide my silly face. The next picture is the piece of work chosen to go on display, my little Dance in the Rain print.

Sad times :( but still its an incredible opportunity. Fingers crossed good things will come from this :)
