Work Stolen... AGAIN!

I am so annoyed right now. Why is it that I work my but off trying to get somewhere in the creative community and to try and make a name for myself whilst some little idiot on the other side of the world think they have the right to download my images, print them on products and sell them as their own? It makes me so angry and question why do I even bother?

I got home from work today and logged into my Society6 to what lovely new artwork was there for me to promote and I spot another post by Bianca Green. My heart sank. This girl is really on the ball when it comes to this stuff. If it wasn't for her I probably would have never even discovered my work had been taken again. (If you're on Society6 you may want to check it out as A LOT of work has been stolen and chances are that some of yours may have been too.) If you want to skip the post and head straight on over to the page hosting the stolen work please click here.

So I went trawling through the instagram page and recognised loads of the artwork and then I found mine. Its an old one but thats not the point. There it is, number TB01...

And here it is on my Society6 page listed as 'Simple Pattern'.

Not only are they selling through instagram it also appears they have a Twitter page and a Facebook page! All full of stolen artwork. Are these people completely incapable of creating their own work? Apparently so.

*Sigh* So I've emailed the instagram people and hopefully if enough others do they will take the page down. Apparently Bianca has already managed to get one shutdown but they simply reopened again under a new account. If enough of the affected artists get together we can take these pages down one by one.  Why should I let some petty thieves ruin what I love doing best? I shouldn't. I suppose in a weird twisted way I should be kinda flattered that they thought my design was good enough to steal... But just for the record I'm not flattered. If anything it makes me more determined to help take these shops down. Until next time my lovelies, I'm off to send some more emails to the right people! Over and out.
